Where your personal information and licence photos are stored

Short answer:

The photos and data you submit when you verify your account with us are securely stored, and can only be accessed by approved team members.

How the verification process works

When you verify your account, we ask you to provide a video selfie and your identity document or licence, so that we can verify your identity. In some cases, additional identity documents (such as your passport) may be requested as part of this process.

How your photos are

Your information is used to verify your account and may be reviewed if any issues arise. We may also check the validity of identity documents with the document issuer or official record holder.

Use of biometric data

During the verification process, we generate and collect biometric data (which is sensitive information) from your video selfie and ID document scan. This means that we check your video selfie and licence match, to confirm your identity for safety and security purposes. Your biometric data is stored for 24 hours for purposes described above and will then be deleted.

How we store your data

Photos and information are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is a PCI Level 1 compliant cloud service. Your biometric data is stored for 24 hours to confirm your identity and for safety and security purposes and will then be deleted.

If you would like to have your information removed from our system, you can ask us to delete your personal information.
