How to pause your car sharing

Block out your car

Go to your car's calendar and add a blockout for the time it won't be available for bookings. How to block out your car.

Keep in mind that your car must be available for at least 10% of the time over 2 months. Learn more about our Fair Availability Policy.

Store the lockbox and key securely

Take the lockbox off your car or property and remove the key – store it securely inside your home.

If your car or lockbox is stolen or damaged because you haven’t stored the key or lockbox securely, you’ll be responsible for the costs.

When you’re ready to start sharing again, upload a set of current condition photos for your car to resume your cover.
