Short answer:
After you complete the sign-up steps, your account will be verified in 3 business hours (9am to 6pm AEST, 7 days a week). It can take a bit longer during really busy periods, like before a long weekend.
If you've requested a trip or told us you need a car within 24 hours of signing up, we'll verify your account within 1 business hour.
You'll receive an email and an SMS when your account has been verified.
If it's been more than 3 business hours since you signed up
- Make sure you've signed up, completed all the steps to verify your account and used a valid email address (no typos) – you should receive a confirmation email as soon as you complete the steps to verify your account
- Check for any emails from us requesting additional info (look in your spam or junk folder)
- Make sure you've submitted any additional info or responses that we have asked for
If you've done all of the above and still haven't heard from us, contact us to check on the progress of your account.

Thank you to The Car Next Door. One the questions asked for registration were more than acceptable and easy n straight forward theirfore made it simple to fill it all out succesfully. The only downside was from myself not having a good enough/clearer camera on my phone so i could submit the picture that was needed. Thank you very much to The Car Next Door n what a great idea your company is for the people out there like myself with no vehicle but do have licences. Keep the awsome work up guys. I’ve applied for a booking yesterday for a booking on 11:45am today, and until now 12:35pm still no approval, you say just here that for any booking within 24h you would make an approval in one hour. So now had being more than 12h plus three calls to your call center support and still no approval or anything relate to my account.
Everything I’ve planned to do today was screwed cause you guys can’t deliver what you promess. That is very frustrating and you definitely should look in to that.
So I get my account application declined to use Car Next Door with no reason given whatsoever, then I called AVIS who are a more respectable and established licensed business and get instantly approved? Car Nex t people are super racist P.O.S. I'll never use them again. It's even cheaper to use AVIS and they got insurance cover.
