T&Cs in the email communications sent to participants on how to participate in this promotion, and the promotional offer itself, form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Offer will be promoted to eligible users via email communications from Uber Carshare and is limited to individuals who receive a promotional campaign directly to them specifying this offer.
Promotion is limited to vehicles that are listed in the email you receive.
Vehicles must be listed and available for borrowers to book by the Promotion Period start date to be considered eligible for this promotion.
Promotion period opens at 12.01 AM AEST on 22 September 2023 and closes at 11.59pm AEST on 6 October 2023.
Bonus earnings amount is stated in the email communications sent by Uber Carshare to eligible users.
To qualify for the Trusty Car Badge Bonus earnings offer, car owners must reply to the email attaching a photo or image showing that their car has been serviced within the previous 12 months, before the end of the Promotion Period. If your photo proves that your car has been serviced in the previous 12 months, you will receive a Serviced Badge and we’ll credit your account with the Bonus earnings amount specified in your email.

The Serviced badge will automatically expire 12 months after the date of service, unless you upload a new serviced report.
Receiving the Serviced Badge does not guarantee that you will receive the Trusty Car Badge. In order to obtain the Trusty Car Badge, you car must:
- Have completed more than 10 bookings
- Have received 90% positive reviews in the past 3 calendar months
- Have an owner cancellation rate that is less than 1 every 50 bookings
- Have obtained a Serviced Badge
If your car obtains the Serviced Badge and meets all the above requirements, you’ll qualify for the Trusty Car Badge.
Car owners must also ensure their vehicle remains registered, roadworthy and well maintained, and compliant with Uber Carshare’s car eligibility criteria. Car owners must also comply with their obligations under the Owner Agreement of the Member Agreement, act in good faith and not do anything that is intended to, or likely to have the effect of, reducing their vehicle’s bookings (for example, but not limited to, asking borrowers to cancel a booking or intentionally making it difficult for borrowers to access or enjoy the use of the car).
If your car is made unavailable or has a cancellation event directly resulting from an incident occurring during an Uber Carshare trip that renders the car unusable, Uber Carshare may, in its reasonable discretion, honour the Bonus earnings.
All successful claimants will receive applicable credit on their Uber Carshare member account. The credit will be applied within 5 business days after the promotion ends.
The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the claim process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Rewards, or any unused portion of a reward, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by a claimant; or (e) use of a reward.
