Free sharing plans for electric vehicles until December 2024

Terms and conditions

T&Cs in the email communications sent to participants on how to claim and the reward(s) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Offer will be promoted to eligible users via email communications and/or phone calls from Uber Carshare and is limited to individuals who receive a promotional campaign, via email and/or phone call, directly to them specifying this offer. Offer not valid in conjunction with any other offer.

Upgrade your car to Instant Keys or Full-Time Fleet before the end of 2024. Promotion starts on the date stated in the email communications from Uber Carshare and ends on 31 December 2024  or when $10,000 in savings have been allocated to be awarded (whatever comes first).

Promotional period is the following 6 months after you upgrade to Instant Keys or Full-Time Fleet. Eligibility is assessed per each calendar month after you have upgraded.

You will be charged the normal plan price you have selected ($19 for Instant Keys and $119 for Full-Time Fleet sharing plans), and if you meet the eligibility criteria of this promotion for the calendar month, these amounts will be credited to your account.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the bonus, car owners must share their EV on any Instant Keys membership, make their car available for bookings before 31 December 2024 and ensure that the vehicle meets the monthly Eligibility Criteria set out below. If your vehicle meets all of the following requirements, you’ll get the monthly bonus earnings. To be eligible for the bonus, your car must meet the following criteria for each calendar month:

To be eligible, your vehicle must:

  • Be fully electric
  • Have a market value of less than $89k
  • Be on either the Instant Keys or Full-Time Fleet sharing plan
  • Have a daily rate no higher than $120/day ($130 for peak days)
  • Maintain less than 10% owner cancellation rate in the month
  • On Instant Keys, have minimum 50% availability for each month, on Full-Time Fleet have minimum of 80% availability for each month and maximum annual distance of 1,000kms outside bookings as per the sharing plan requirements.
  • Be registered, roadworthy and well-maintained, and meet the remainder of Uber Carshare’s car eligibility criteria (other than as stated here in these eligibility requirements).

Car owners must also comply with their obligations under the Owner Agreement of the Member Agreement, act in good faith and not do anything that is intended to, or likely to have the effect of, reducing their vehicle’s bookings (for example, but not limited to, asking borrowers to cancel a booking or intentionally making it difficult for borrowers to access or enjoy the use of the car).

If your car is made unavailable due to damage, Uber Carshare may, in its reasonable discretion, honour the bonus earnings, however it is under no obligation to do so.
