Short answer:
It can take 2-5 business days for your bank to process a refund or payment from us. If you're a borrower waiting on a refund, check your available balance in your Uber Carshare account as some refunds are processed there.
If we make a payment to you (for example, for a refund or your car's earnings), you'll receive an email notification that this payment has been processed. You might not see the funds straight away, as it can sometimes take several days for your bank to process the payment.
If it's been over a week
If it's been a week or more and you still have not received your payment, please email us at members@ubercarshare.com so that we can investigate. Sending us a photo or screenshot of your statement will speed up the process.
Refunds
There are two ways we process refunds:
- To your Uber Carshare account: the funds will be refunded to your card within a few days, or you can withdraw them back to your credit or debit card anytime (borrowers only)
- To the original method of payment: this is usually a refund to the same debit or credit card you used to pay. It may take your bank 2 to 5 days to process this refund
If you are expecting a refund and haven't received it after a few days, please check all the payment methods you have on your account with us.
Owner income
If the payment is for your car's monthly earnings, this will be deposited into your bank account early the following month. It can take a few days after you receive your invoice for your bank to process the payment and the funds to show in your account.

Hi there,
I recently rented Eng Seng’s 2005 Mitsibishi Express- I didn't realise this car was manual and basically immediately cancelled the trip. The driver had a automatic car next to the van and I rented that instead. There was not loss for the driver as this van was not being used.
When will this trip be refunded?
Best,
Yousif
