What happens if your car key gets lost or broken

Short answer:

If your car key has been lost or broken during a Borrower's booking, let us know. We will arrange to replace or fix the key and charge the Borrower for the cost.

Borrowers are responsible for everything that happens to your car or keys during their booking. If your key gets lost or broken, we will arrange to have a new key cut, and your spare key reprogrammed. The reprogramming prevents a missing key from working in the ignition of your car.

If this happens during a Borrower's booking, they'll be responsible for the cost. We'll charge them for the cost of the new or reprogrammed keys, as well as an admin fee to cover our time in dealing with the issue.
