General FAQS

I can't find the lockbox

If you still can’t find the lockbox, give the owner a call (you'll find their contact details in the app) or call us. Our member support line is available to help 24/7.

I can't get a code

You won't be able to generate a code if you're more than 2 hours late returning the car - you will need to call us to get the code.

The lockbox code doesn't work

There are a few reasons why the code might not work.

  • If you’ve entered the code incorrectly several times, you’ll need to wait 1 minute before you can try again
  • If it’s the end of your trip, make sure you’ve generated a new code
  • Double check the registration of the car against the car registration displayed in your trip instructions in the app

If the code still won’t work, call us. We’re available to help 24/7.

The lockbox won't fully open

The lockbox latch may be stuck.

  1. Enter the code again
  2. Try holding the lockbox closed to allow the latch to click properly into position
  3. Enter the code again
  4. Now open
I can’t close the lockbox

The key might be getting in the way.

  1. Take the key out and see if the lockbox will close without it
  2. If it does, re-enter the code (it will last for 4 hours)
  3. Open the lockbox again and fit the key in so you can close the lockbox

Still not closing?

Something else might be stopping it from closing.

So check that the rain jacket or other items aren’t preventing the lockbox from closing properly.

Or you might not be pushing hard enough. Firmly press the lockbox closed - you might need to apply some gentle force.

A long rectangular lockbox

The lockbox won’t wake up
  1. To wake the lockbox, hold [ENT]
  2. The keypad will light up and beep
  3. You can now enter the lockbox code

If you’re in a loud or busy area you may not hear the beep, so listen carefully and look for the keypad lighting up.

Still not working?

If the lockbox is still unresponsive, you can reset it. Insert a credit card sized card into the slot at the bottom of the lockbox.

The lockbox should then wake up and you should be able to enter the code.
