We’ll send you emails and push notifications for your account for your trips, cars, account.
If you’re not receiving these notifications, there may be some settings you can adjust to make sure you don’t miss important communications from us.
Check your preferences and settings
Go to your Uber Carshare notification preferences in the app or website and check you’ve opted in to receive the notifications you want by email and push.
If you’re still not receiving push notifications:
- Go to your device settings
- Select the Uber Carshare app
- Check notifications are turned on
If you log in to your account on more than one device, all the devices will need to have the same notification settings. If one device has push notifications enabled and another doesn’t, you may receive a confusing mix of message types.
Update your push notification alert types and styles
Depending on your phone’s model, you can adjust the style of push notifications you receive to help make sure you don’t miss a notification.
iOS
- Go to Settings
- Click Notifications and then find our app
- Check that Allow notifications is turned on
- Select Immediate Delivery
- Select all three alert types - lock screen, notification centre and banners
- Set your banner style to persistent
- Turn on Sounds and Badges
Android
- Go to Settings
- Click Sound & notification and then App notifications
- Select our app
- Check that Blocked is off
- Turn on Priority or Treat as priority
Update the Uber Carshare app
Make sure you have the latest version of the Uber Carshare app installed. You can check if there’s an update available by searching in the App Store or Google Play Store.
Using the app on multiple devices
If you log in to your account on more than one device, all the devices will need to have the same notification settings. If one device has push notifications enabled and another doesn’t, you may receive a confusing mix of message types.
